New display color theme

The K-70 will have a new display color theme using just red tones perfect for shooting in dark conditions. I hope the K-1 will get this in a firmware update.

It looks like something that could certainly be added. This is definitely a clever idea, though the -2 outdoor brightness setting is already more than enough IMO.

If K-1 gets this it will be an even more awesome camera for astrophotography.

I'd love an option to customize the colours in a detailed fashion through an app or RGB selector or something.

I hope the K-1 successor will get the red option for the body lighting as well.

Did you know that there are already plenty of menu color schemes (more than a dozen)?

It would be no good in my "red playroom" as I wouldn't be able to see the display at all... I don't believe I just said that.

Yes, thanks Adam. I've fiddled with it many times in the K3. I just wish I could customize the UI more. I tend to do this with every device. Mind you I have a visual impairment and can be picky that way.

I'd welcome this option too, I must say it seems quite appealing.

I don't think this will happen

The color of the LED is the nature of the LED itself. It is not like adjusting color on and LCD screen...

I believe some LED have the ability to emit different colors but I doubt the LED in the K-1 have the ability to shift color. Else, they would already offer this option.

Tan68: Thats why I said I hope the K-1 successor will get the red option. The current K-1 don't have the hardware for red body lighting.

When making a new camera model, its possible to have dual LEDs (one white and one red or a combined white+red LED) in a tiny spot, replacing the white one. It requires an extra signaling wire and a few firmware lines.
