Seems to me your best/only solution to mount a Nikkor 20mm f/1.8 on the K-1 would be via the Adaptist adapter (Pentax K+ Multi-Mount (WR version) - Adaptist). You will lose WR but you will gain the ability to mount Nikon, Olympus, Contax/Yashica, and Konica lenses.

You can attach the Nikon to your k-1. Just turn it around 180 degree or so and it will fit, but won't click. So it is loose on your body.

There are adapters, I have one. It works as 1,25x tc, so your nikker is going to be 25mm/f2.25

Forgive my ignorance, but how would you change the aperture?

You wouldn't (with a G-type lens)

In any case, if you're on a tight budget, you still have options. For starters, there's the Samyang 24mm F1.4 which is less than a third of the price of the 15-30mm. You could also go for the K 20mm F4 if you don't mind the slower aperture/CA, or the FA 20-35mm F4 zoom. The F 17-28mm fisheye is also an interesting proposition, and it works well on the K-1.

Pentax will be releasing more FF primes next year, too, so that might give us more options in the wide-angle department.

I don't know how you draw those conclusions. Like many of the Nikkor 1.8 G's (although I've only used two), it has problems with plasticky build quality, and optical issues with flare, ghosting, vignetting and soft edges. The lenstip review tells the story well:

Nikon Nikkor AF-S 20 mm f/1.8G ED review - Introduction - LensTip.com

It doesn't seem to me like the kind of lens worth building your entire camera kit around.
Although the Nikon 20mm f/1.8G is not their best glass, from my experience having one, for the price it is excellent and is my go to wide angle with Nikon FF.

Sorry, but I don't know about adapting it to a K-1 and although I prefer primes, I would seriously save my money for a Pentax FA 15-30mm f/2.8 ED SDM WR zoom. An exceptional lens like that will last you decades and many camera bodies.

Right... and so IQ is dependent on the bit of glass in the adaptor... yes?

If you got the money you can always get a SMC P-A 20mm f2.8 ($572) from KEH:

I've got the 20mm but don't have a body as yet, so if it worked well with the K-1, it could be mean me buying one instead of a Nikon.
I have always found adapters to cause some compromise and would only consider that as a last resort. As I understand your OP, you do not currently own a FF DSLR. Therefore, with the 20mm Nikkor, your best option would be a D610 or ideally a D750. Your second best option would be selling the Nikkor 20mm and getting the K-1 with your choice of Pentax, Sigma, Tamron, or Samyang lenses.

I've read somewhre that you need to put them on a Nikon body, set the aperture, press the dof button and remove them while still holding the dof button and then put them on the adapter/non-Nikon body.
I guess Nikon bodies have some purpose after all.
