"Pentax K-1 im Praxiseinsatz" (online article in german language)

I´ll draw your attention on an article in the german online mag Photoscala about the Pentax K-1 "Pentax K-1 im Praxiseinsatz"
(Pentax K-1 in praxis)
(The article is in german - try any online translator if you want )

Pretty much the same review as elsewhere. It's interesting, well-made, packed with features and takes excellent static images, especially in pixel shift mode, but the AF is no good for sports and action photography, and the lens range is inadequate. Comments from Nikon and Canon fans follow, decrying it. Same old, same old…

Yep.
But on the other hand, the D810 only has 5fps (compared to K-1 4.4fps) and about 40 more lenses to choose from - many of which are niche or low end (and besides, with over 100 lenses to choose from, not to mention legacy lenses and upcoming third party lenses, is this really such a big deal for most customers?). Weight of the K-1 is a little higher, true, but you often want the camera to be a bit hefty when you are using large lenses (like modern FF f2.8 zooms) or bracketing features like PS.
Eh, whatever. At least they're talking about it

you are right .
In my opinion the most Photoscala comments are more aggressive /hateful than in moderated forums. If you want to send a comment, there is a captcha but no moderation and you are anonymous*. A lot of posters become in this situation unscrupulous – and PS is a place of flaming brand „wars“ of [nikon, Canon, Sony ...] fan -boys.

Despite of the reader comments the articles are better than in the most german online photo mags ( despite the swiss fotointern which has a special swiss view). And it is as far as I know the online photo mag in Germany which has the most readers.

Good remark
When Nikon released the D800 they published a brochure with lens "recommendations" suitable for the D800/D800E
There were not about a dozen from Nikon which are "suitable".
If you add the Zeiss Oti ZF.2, Apo-Sonnar ZF.2 and the 2or 3 Milvi ZF.2 which fit to the D800/D800E/D810, and some Sigma Arts - its not alot more . than Pentax offers.

I am not sure what some of you expect from such reviews. The reviewer likes some things and points out other things he does not like.

My K1 has not an AF I want to compare to others for action shots.
Only a handfull of up to date FF lenses exist.

The funny thing is that most Canon/Nikon people will not even care about a Pentax review.
