I've been using the Pentax K1 for a couple of weeks now, and have compared it to my previous Nikon DSLR for professional work/ play.

Overall, the Pentax K1 is the best camera I've used, and that's from a huge selection. Amazing image quality but also highly practical.

Camera wise, K1 is excellent, firmware could still be improved, hardware top dials and tilt screen a luxury. Problem with the K1 IQ is lenses. For getting the most out of the guts of the K1 sensor, high clarity prime glass wanted. Typically, zeiss mounted on the K1 deliver stunning images but a lot of those newer premium glass isn't necessarily available in K mount, that's a limitation. Come on Ricoh , bring on the fast sharp DFA primes.

nice review. Most of the cons are part of difference in usage of the cameras. But there a lot of good ideas in his contras.
