I have both lenses now and while the Sigma 85mm f1.4 is sharp, the Samyang 135mm is just ridiculously sharp. The aperture control works on the K1. The focusing is stiff and dampened. The colour is great. It's quite a big lens by Pentax standards. The Sigma Autofocus has been spotty on the K1 but it's obviously still preferable to the Samyang manual focus. The Sigma is more versatile but if you can work with the manual focus, the Samyang really makes the most of the K1 sensor.

The Samyang 123/2 is one of the ten sharpest lenses you can buy in stores for any amount of money for any system from any maker. No Nikon, Canon, Sony, Zeiss, Pentax lens by any relevant margin exceeds its optical performance.

The Samyang 135/2 makes the new $2,200 Nikon 105/1.4 look a meh glass when it comes to optical performance as it outperforms it wide open when comparing to the Nikon stopped down a full stop (!).

Better also than all the Sigma Arts 35 and 50:

It is superb.
You are comparing one aspect only for lenses with different specs and focal length, just to put other excellent lenses or manufacturers down. Samyang 135 is a nice lens for the money, but far from perfect or outperfroming the lenses you mention. A f/1.4 the Samyang stinks ;-)

I own the 85mm for my K-1 and I have shot with the 135mm F/2 on my A7II. Both lenses are exceptional for portrait work. On the A7II manual focus is pretty easy, but on the K-1 it will take a little bit of work. I would personally stay with the Sigma 85mm. I also own the D-FA* 70-200mm and it gives me the 135mm reach in a lens that is more versatile and has AF. I think the Samyang 135 is a really good lens for the money, but I don't plan on buying one in the near future. The manual focus on the K-1 is a deal breaker. On the A7II, manual focus is great and I would probably buy one for that mount.
