I have read about it, view photos but have not seen any photos of the Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 on a K1. Hope someone has some examples of photos taken with this lens on a K1.

HAven't tried this one yet on K1. There is a number of photos taken with a D800 and D810 in the Rokinon and Samyang 85mm 1.4 pools of flickr. You'd get similar results on the K1.

I am hoping to see some taken with the K1. They might be similar results but just want to see it on a K1 without the use of a low pass filter I think the D800 and D810 use and plus if Pentax tweaked that the sensor at all I would like to see it in the K1.

Rokinon 85 f/1.4 on Pentax K-1

Couple of SOOC (other than resizing and converting to JPEG) shots taken on the K-1 with the Rokinon 85.
Pardon the boring photo subject matter. I did not spend much time optimizing focus here. Overall a solid lens
value that IMHO works very well with the K-1.

The D810 has no AA filter.

Yes it works well. Have not spent much time with it yet but certainly has narrow dof potential:

Those are natural colors and they are represented very well with the 85mm I like the clarity[COLOR="Silver"]

Wait (and save) up if you are strictly looking for 85mm. Rokinon (and the likes) are good 85s but have been found to have too many copy variations let alone the quality mark. If you find a good copy you would be really lucky.
If you aren't strictly looking for 85mm FL but more of a portrait FL then FA77 is the one I would recommend in a heartbeat. Having bought an old FA*85 for a grand I feel I should have just bought FA77 for slightly cheaper. It is still in production and makes an easy choice when you have the money saved up. I did own the Rokinon 85 before then and it does not render as good as a Pentax lens. It is sharp though if you get a good copy and usable at 1.4 in a pinch if you can nail the manual focus each time.

Hello

I have the Rokinon now for several years and it replaced my M85/2 because ist was much sharper (on the K7 that time) - and allways was sad that I gave away my SMC-Takumar 85/1,8 when I changed to K 2002.
I used the Rokinon on K7, K01, K3 and K1- and beside the MF I was always happy with the results - but yesterday I coudn't resist a Sigma 85/1,4 - so I will give it away now. Sharpness wide open seeems to be very similar for both lens. The only thing I will miss on the Sigma is the aparture ring for MX/ME analog.

The usual; Live View and digital zooming in, or the use of focus confirmation in the view finder, I would think. The AF system will still alert you to when it thinks things are in focus. I don't know if there are focusing screens for the K-1 or not.
