Ah yes thanks I had that bit figured out, I would really like it to show the focus point overlaid on the image, I wonder if there is any software that will allow this, can't some cameras do it in LR?
I have seen screenshots of focus points overlaid on a preview image, but I don't remember the brand/software. As for LR, I believe that functionality has only been offered with third-party plugins. Here is a link at PetaPixel describing a recent open-source entry...

Sadly, it only worked with the Nikon D7200 as of January 2017, but perhaps that has changed.

Good news! I just looked at the GitHub project page for Focus Point Viewer and now a wide range of Pentax-brand cameras is supported (Mac only), though recent models like the K-1 with some features missing. I think I will try it out and maybe even contribute to the project to get a Windows port in place.

It was in a room lit by the overhead light, so moderate to slightly gloomy... by pointing the K1 into the darkest corner I could force the AF lamp on, which meant that it got focus no problem, but in the main part of the room it just failed (when pointed at a relatively low contrast subject). The K5 by comparison flicked on the AF lamp virtually all the time, and thereby succeeded where the K1 failed.[COLOR="Silver"]
Which lens are using on this, or is it the same for all lenses?
