I wonder if there is a mini flash for K1, the ability to support pttl, something miniature-size ttl radio flash trigger, to help with autofocus and guide number of approximate 25 (stronger is better) and can run af360fgz

When I looked into this in the past I found no solution that was tiny and acted as a pttl master.

Although it does not offer any wireless PTTL functions, the Metz AF26 II is a really tiny but useful strobe, a reasonable substitute for a pop-up flash on a K1. It operates on two AAA batteries. If you're tempted by one, be sUre to get the second version for a K1 as the first version was designed for APS-C and it will not fire on a K1.

That is a cute flash. I wish it would offer P-TTL mastering like the onboard flash on a K-3.

My dad owns that flash for his Panasonic GX-7. It is much bigger than you may realize. It isn't tiny - but it isn't huge either. That head is the size of my palm and I do not have small hands. On the other hand - he really likes the flash.

and bad looks can be deceiving, unfortunately, I'm looking for something to the size of a cigarette box - just less but it can run af360fgz when it's needed : o

Indeed. If that flash could do what a built-in mini flash could do - that is to control the wireless off camera flashes - they would sell a lot of them. I'm sure it just requires a tiny circuit board that might cost $2.00 at the manufacturing level. Does Pentax not realize the potential? They still build two flashes that are designed to work with the built in wireless feature but they don't make a small replacement flash. I nearly ordered the 201fg until someone here pointed out, to my astonishment, that it couldn't control the off camera flash like the cheap built in flash could do. Who would have expected that?

The requisite LCD and ability to adjust the channels and so forth to support P-TTL mastering would be the cost and expense.

The way around this might be to enable the camera to control the flash and set it up using some defaults or reprogram from the camera menu somehow.

I have the older version of the 540 flash so I would like a little flash to control it off camera just the same way it did on my K5. My K3-II doesn't have the built in flash so my point is that it can't be very expensive to replicate the small built in flash with something that attaches to the K3-II and K1 so that we can all use our wireless functions just like those with older cameras can do. I know it's not available but I wish Pentax would get with it and make one or add the feature to the 201.

it is best to sell af360fgz and buy af540fgz ll, neglect the size and have everything originally, all in one even the external focusing light (spot beam) ,probably!

We're numerous wishing for a tiny PTTL master. Bolt apparently makes a cheap (~110$) PTTL master flash, but it's quite large.

The camera could control that.

Oops. That's what you wrote also
