sigma 100-400 for k-1 ????????

well, guys and gals, im hearing great things for the new sigma 100-400. however, according to sigma there is no pentax mount AND no adapter for pentax k1, k3 etc. soooooo, im hoping my pentax gurus have a way around it and that there might really be and adapter of some sort.

There were Sigma 120-400s for Pentax though, you might be able to find one second hand.

thanks to everyone

well, it was worth a try. if anyone could figure a way around it it would be you all. that is the one frustrating thing about k1 and k3; the limited sigma et al lenses.the camera is great, however

You can go for the 150-500 and 500 f4.5 if you can find them, Fred.

The Pentax analogues would be the DFA 150-450 and DA 560.

More than 50% of the squirrel images on this site were taken with a Bigma.

It does quite well, prior to getting it not long ago i used both versions of the 135-400 which is reasonable in price and quality.

BIGMA adds a lot of weight to the K-1 bag!

"Manually operated". No AF etc... Better get a 50-500, 120-400 or the Pentax 150-450...

No way to control aperture either. Plus it's a short teleconverter, so a slow lens becomes even slower.
