I have a couple of random brandless ebay-batteries that still hold a decent charge after more than five years so if youre lucky you are lucky.
Also I have an original battery from K-7 that cannot be distinguished from my newer Pentax batteries from other than the label saying Hoya corporation instead of Ricoh corporation so I guess that makes my earlier statement invalid
