Hi Richard

Maybe a brief outline of what you think this thread covers, would be good.
As the K 1 has a dedicated thread already.
Nice photos by the way

In the "medium-format" thread, we have a "Post your medium format pictures here". I noticed this particular thread was absent from the Full Frame post so I tried to start one. A Forum friend made me aware that such a post already existed for the Pentax K1 somewhere else on the Forum. If judged necessary, I may delete this new post I started maybe erroneously today.

Regards

I assume any FF not just the k1 would fit here.

This week my new to me Sony A7RII will be here. I will try to post in this thread as I get a few images under my belt. I’m anxious to try it with some of my Pentax glass as well as the native lenses I will have access to (28 f2 FE, 85 f1.8 FE, and 24-105 f4 FE)

I think, I hope, you will enjoy your Sony equipment. I know I do. I found the K-1 too bulky for my smaller hands, and found the a7 series much better. I had the original a7, the a7II, then the a7rII, the a7III, and now the a7rIII.

I have had the 28/2 and the 85/1.8. I currently use the 24-105 (One of Sony's best lenses). Some feel the distortion of the 28/2 is a bit high,
but that never bothered me. The 85/1.8 is excellent, IMO. It is well-regarded.

I have been using Sony a7 since the K-1 was fairly new, and have no plans to move to anything else. I have about 10-12 manual Pentax lenses which I do use. The biggest problem I see with legacy lenses is getting focus at infinity. Pentax to NEX adapters are Chinese made, some work better than others.

Enjoy.

My own grip experience is a bit different. I liked the k1 grip, the Sony is a little tight. I have the 24-105 (borrowed) but I haven’t looked at it in detail yet.

The adapter I have is the K&F Concepts and while made in China it is very high precision compared to others I’ve handled.

Beautiful shot Richard. I may never brave the Yosemite crowds as they have gotten crazy these days.
