The price is good, too bad it's not available now, otherwise I will grab one straight away before I go overseas on the 16th. Not sure If I can resist getting one while I am in the US....

When I pre-ordered my K5 Digital Direct gave a better deal than the RRP. I have just asked what they intend to sell it for, waiting for a reply.

I'm excited, I will pre-order. It should save me from having to buy a full on video camera. And that has an extra bonus of not having to own a canon.

My Birthday is the start of next month - my answer is yes yes - but it won't be a present as I will need to wait to open it - I've been caught out before

I require it for work and I save money as I shouldn't need to buy a $2,000 video camera. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

I must admit to being very curious about the video capability of the K-3. It's being hyped up a bit I think, so I'm a little cautious given the K-7 and the K-01 are both pretty poor (imho)
If I can get away with not having to have my camcorder in one pocket and the the dSLR hanging off my neck when at race meets etc, then I'll make much more use of video from a dSLR.

It's metal. Not sure about flash though.
