Does it leak oil like all Land Rovers?
It's a Landrover design feature: If there's no oil under it, you know it's time to refill the gearbox, diffs, the transfer case and the sump. An added advantage is that the underside can't rust as it's always well oiled.

Non-Landrover owners won't understand.

Same goes for those who have a truck or piece of machinery that has a Detroit engine in it.

If you don't own an oil well when you buy a rig with a Detroit in it, you will.

Just like vintage aircraft. What should you do when your DC-3's engines stop dripping oil? Put oil in them.

One of the most fascinating trailers designed for a specific vehicle is the trailer for the Land Rover 101 FC (which is a neat vehicle by itself), it has a driveshaft connection, effectively turning the Land Rover into an articulated 6x6:
Drove quite a few of those in the army. Never with a trailer though.

Nice, ever need to use the included crank handle?

A feature of some 101s that I haven't seen on other vehicles is the mid-mounted capstan winch - able to pull backwards or forwards.

Look closely.

Before the trailer is empty, and there are trees and limbs lying all over the place in the grass.

After the trailer is full, and all the trees and limbs are no longer lying about.

Yep...leaking oil...unfortunately the issue with many an English vehicle manufactured, prior to the 1980's.

I have two motorcycles...a '67 Matchless 750 (made in August, 1967 at the Plumstead Road, London factory) and a '78 Yamaha SR 500 (big single) and they both live next to each other, in our large shed.

Under the crankcase of the Matchless is a large cake tin, that comes close to filling every 6 months with Castrol oil...the Yamaha has no cake tin, nothing under it's crankcase...as it does not drip any oil. In the winter, in our garage, our son parks his newer BMW G/S motorcycle....nary a drip comes from the crankcase.

And then of course there are the Lucas electrics ...in my Matchless. Many of us know British vehicle electrics, were often made by Jos. Lucas, Prince of Darkness.

But that's another story.

But having said all that I'll never sell my old.... True Brit....the Matchless Scrambler. It has lots of character for a machine.

Given that the vast majority of folks here live on the other side of the pond in the land of the free and home of the brave, I thought I'd just drop in for a second and let you know that should any of you have a subscription to the New York Times, you can pick up last Sunday's issue (19th April), turn to page 5 and behold our Covid testing station in Munich, with yours truly in the background having a chat with a patient in their car
