Yep. I referred to that a few posts ago, it was the day I was born.
I suspect it was a bit warmer than that in southeast MO.
Are you saying that your entrance into this world sucked all the energy out of Canada for a day? Impressed sir, impressed

Jack LaLanne was the fitness guru of the 50s and 60s. He had one of the first fitness tv shows ever and he lived to be nearly 100. In an interview one time he said that exercise and a healthy diet was key to fitness. The interviewer asked what the best diet was. He said "If it tastes good spit it out".
Back in the 60s we had Ed Allen

Aside from occasional triple short espressos with a spoon of milk i have packed in coffee, I do however drink massive amounts of Tea, all made from loose leaf teas , mostly from Silk Road Teas in Victoria BC , they have excellent Assam, and very well balanced Earl Grey and London Fog blends. Always black with just some honey for me
I blame my mother for this one, she put sweet milky tea in my baby bottle (If I know her Red Rose she collected those ceramics, she had loads of them when she passed away
Vahdam on Amazon has some fantastic tea.

How cold has it been in South Dakota?

Actually, negative single digits is nothing. I spent 4 winters in Fairbanks, Alaska. January, 1975 there was a three week period during which the high was -53.
The coldest official temp I saw was -64. The unofficial low was -81.
-6 this morning? Meh........

I agree, Mark. That's a bit like taking a shower while wearing a rain coat.

You need to take digressing lessons from Les.
Interesting story about how I got into digressing. Sometimes in high school, I didn't know the answer to long answer test questions, so I figured the teacher might give me a D for effort if I went off tangent in my answer and just digressed away.

Well that didn't work out so well, but that reminds me of another story, about the time I figured out how to get underserved exemptions from writing exams in grade eleven....but that's a story for another time.

My daughter is the biggest digresser I've ever seen, make that heard.
She can start off with a story, veer off course for 30 minutes, with a ton of details, then bring it all back home.

Diet tip from Rat.
If you feel hungry, it could be you're just thirsty.
Drink a pitcher of margaritas, then see how you feel.
