Had my bi-annual dental appointment today, got to meet our new dentist.
I wouldn’t know if I have a new dentist or not, mine keeps postponing appointments by six months. Covid! By the time we know what normal is to be, I might not need a dentist at all!

Yeah, I find them fascinating. We have a bunch in our neighbourhood and they are constantly wheeling above, talking to each other and participating in mock aerial dogfights.

Is that French for impact gun?
Actually, I stole that term from you 'mericans. Many of the SxS crowd down in the states use this term.

Just don't give one ugga ugga too many, or you'll snap something.

True dat. and that is why I use it for removal and have a set of torque sticks for re-installation; or simply use a ratchet.

In other news, Mrs. Racer 2.0 and I will be heading out around 11am today. I’m working a half day at The Big Shed, then we are rolling out for Fort Bragg to take the grandson his car. He will be paying to fly us home next Tuesday.

Our plan is to drive nonstop, save for fuel, food and bathroom breaks, and one stop for a shower, somewhere in Missouri, which is about halfway.

2,900 miles.

Hammer down driver.

In about an hour I see an orthopedist for evaluation for a knee replacement. The surgeon who repaired my leg after the accident told me I would want a knee replacement within a year. That was 4 years ago. He was right though; within about a year I wanted one. Now I need one.
Until about 6 months ago the discomfort ranged from a baseline of annoying, to moderate or a bit more with occasional genuine pain. For the last couple of months the baseline is moderate+ with frequent #$!!@%&$@!.
I have arthritis in the sacroiliac joints. It's not bad but the ataxic gait caused by the knee issue aggravates it further.

Safe travels on your and Mrs R's coast to coast run!
The 800 mile, 11.5 hours to son's house in CO is as more than we attempt straight through these days.

Wow, 4 years already!
Hope the knee fix and pain relief comes soon for you, Jim.
