With such an epic victory, why go for a repeat?

The price of building materials is getting out of control.

Good idea the cuts. We had them done to our garage cement floor and foundation. Out here, as with Ontario....we need concrete cuts for summer expansion (temps can go to 40 C above) and winter contraction 40 below.

Au contraire: the '54 medal was finally awarded, many years late.

Yes - with milk (real tea) or green tea or some herbals, usually peppermint.

I like chamomile, with honey, in the evening, and Darjeeling, with honey and cream in the morning.
Black tea in the morning (loose leaf, as it should be) with just a splash of milk.

Bengal Spice at other times of the day - I really enjoy this one, having 3-4 mugs of it a day if I'm not careful.

We're still building here, the price of 2x4s is ridiculous, and you're calculating out every inch before buying them, and ways of cutting 8 footers or 12 footers to be cheaper, rather than just buying excess as you would before...

Well, time to water the driveway if mother nature hasn't done it for me and build a set of stairs.
Mother nature has done plenty of watering here yesterday, endless rain and mudpits.

Refurbishing F18s, that's a long term stable job here in Canada...

That looks tasty, gonna have to add it to Mrs. Racer's grocery list.

Mmm, it certainly is. They claim it's their decaf response to chai tea, however I find it tastes much different (better!) than chai, decaf or not. It's also fairly sweet as is, I certainly would not add sugar too it at all (or any tea, but that's another matter), and strong if you leave the teabag in the cup (mm mm, love all that cinnamon, I always do that, so the last gulp is super duper strong for a tea).

Wait.

I thought y'all used the metric system up there?

Somehow it just doesn't sound right.

Oh, and I thought you were building the house with straw bales?

The house exterior walls are timber frame with straw bales, yes. Interior walls are 2x4 walls or some are 2x2 walls (cheap to rip a 2x4 and get twice as much out of it... )

As far as metric system, we use imperial for lumber, weight and height, small distances (ie, "the bear was only 12 feet away!" or "it's a couple inches across"), and all sorts of other things.

For example, I'm about 170# and 5'10" but saying I'm 77 kg and 178cm just sounds plain wrong!

In other news, I'll get my first stab in the arm for defence against the evil hocir coronavirus on Monday, as the province has decided to take a community immunization approach in our small town by now opening the vaccine up to everyone 18+ in the local area.
