My wife loves peanut butter with just about everything. But, can't say I've seen her try salad cream.
Salad cream happens to be the condiment that, to me, most resembles vomit.

In grade 7, every once and a while, my Mom would make a peanut butter and bologna sandwich with Mayo. I cannot explain it, but it works.

I always reach to the back as well. If everyone did that it would result in older stock being left behind. I bet every Waitrose shopper does that

We try to do it too but sometimes we find there is only short dated milk left.

In our house a 4 pint whole milk is lucky to last more than 2 days! (teenagers...) We avoid your problem by not having a Waitrose local to us. Which reminds me of the late Willie Rushton's observation that he really liked Sainsbury's – they kept the riff-raff out of Waitrose.

We also use Sainsburys. I rarely go to Tesco but find it feels rough. Only found a Morrison’s once. Only once to Iceland, not the country.

I like peanut butter and banana sandwiches. No mayo, no bologna, no spam, and by that I mean the real spam , not the computer garbage....but the spam.... made of meat !

Maybe I need to think about that...does...or did..spam ever have any real meat in it ?

In Switzerland we could buy milk in a carton that did not need to be refrigerated until opened. I actually found that it tasted better than homogenized.

Before covid, we tried some milk that was from Quebec...which is an awfully long drive to the prairies. It was at the co-op and this milk was good for a long time. You keep it in the fridge and it is in liquid form.

We tried it, didn't open it until it's long best before date was over...and it was fine.

Can't recall the brand as that was a year plus ago.

Winterpeg has a small Big Shed, where they make composite stuff for the silver birds built at The Big Shed. I know because I hauled tooling there.

Ughhh, yes! You're right. On my short list of things I definitively don't eat. Others are tripe, oxtail and porridge of any description, insects (except for those ingested involuntarily while cycling), tongue, spiders, worms, rats, bats, dogs and cats.
Oh, and Subway.

Some of those things can be nice when prepared for eating.

You’ve never cooked and pressed a tongue? A proper, full-size beef tongue? And it simply must be pressed, in a glass bowl with a saucer on top, wedged tight so the jelly sets perfectly around the meat? You really ought to try it: when released the pressed tongue slides beautifully from the bowl straight into the bin. No, I don’t like it either, and it’s not for want of trying.

I suppose it’s a delicacy, like kiviak or pig’s trotters.

Tongue prepared like that got me to like it.

Pig tongues are good too.

I was at one of ours today and on the bargain shelf was some Four Sons raspberry blossom honey marked down from $6.99 to $3.
Never heard of it, but can't past up a deal like that. Honey pretty much keeps forever, this has a best by date of Nov, 2022.
Haven't tried it yet, but it's interesting that it's from eastern Canada, and bottled in Missouri.

Australia has a choice of two: Cole’s and Woolies.

England has: Iceland, M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco, Waitrose, Morrison, Aldi, Lidl and Asda, at least. What choice.

That is UHT. Better to get the fresher one.
