Spam, don't knock it unless you've tried it!

If MSM is used, it has to be on the label of ingredients.
Apparently Spam Lite does have mechanically separated chicken, but not the regular stuff I buy. Spam with bacon.is pretty good too.
I need to make some Spam fries.

Happy World Chess Day!
A local news reporter is at the World Chess Hall of Fame here in St Louis.
They have some very neat, and outrageous, chess sets on display.

It was an Airbus A320, so no great loss there.
I flew in one of those several years back. Great plane to fly on if you like having your knees jammed against the seat in front of you (and I'm only 5' 10") and bent at 90 degrees for the whole flight. On the plus side, that distracts you a bit from the fact that you can't move your upper body at all without bumping shoulders and/or elbows with the person next to you.

I can tolerate Spam right out of the can, even better if it's refrigerated, but I can't stand it fired.

Unfortunately that is the case on any airliners when one flies coach.

That is UHT. Better to get the fresher one.
Is there actually anything wrong with UHT? I found that it tasted more like fresh milk from the cow than it's homogenized cousin.

The last time I went to the office, in October, I went to the kitchen to dispose of my workmates stuff in the fridge. We had been unable to get to the office since mid March. Put it in a bin outside and sent email to tell them not to expect to find it on their next visit. So far only one other of them has visited the office since then.
Even when we regularly went into the office, people would leave stuff in the fridge forever. I would regularly send an email to all the people on the floor warning them of a Friday purge. Many times there were some very colourful scientific experiments thrown in the trash.

So, still working from home? We're more or less back to normal.
Neither my wife or I will be going back to the office and many people I work with are the same.

True true, one never knows. Try the peanut butter, bologna and mayo sandwich sometime.

Probably the main reason why I don't fly if I can avoid it.

I think airlines use a formula to determine how many seats they can squish into an airplane body. They figure out factors such as how much shoulder room, body room, leg room an average person would need...then reduce it by a third and voila have figured out the number of seats for a passenger plane. That is just my bobservation.

The airplane manufacturers make very good passenger airplanes, but it is up to the airlines themselves, to determine how many seats they will put in the craft.

A friend brought beef heart into work for a Christmas buffet many years ago. The thought of it turned my stomach but he cajoled and convinced me into trying some. It was delicious. Like really lean roast beef.

Hell ya it has meat, always did. It's like ham in a can, sorta. Fried up crispy it's like bacon, sorta.
Ingredients:
pork with ham meat added, salt, water, potato starch, sugar, and sodium nitrite
mmmmmmm, sodium nitrite, the thing that makes bacon so good too

How it works here by us is I walk over the milk fridges and proceed to unpack half the fridge to get to the stack at the back. Usually, that has the fresher date.
But, sometimes, even that does not work. Then, I find a staff member and ask them to check the fridges in the storage part of the supermarket. They then bring out the fresh milk. There can sometimes be a week difference in what's on the shelf and what's in the back.
For coffee cream there is the regular large dairy company stuff with things like carrageenan and Xanthan Gum added and which has a huge inventory and long supply chain. And then there is cream from our local dairy with one ingredient cream/milk.

Brums Dairy – Supporting Local Farmers

It does not have a long shelf life but it is gobbled up at the grocery store so it does not sit waiting to go bad. They also make delicious ice cream.
