The liner notes for the album say
"This album has been engineered to sound correct on JBL 4311 speakers or an equivalent. Best results will be achieved if you set your pre-amp tone controls to the flat position with the loudness control in the off position. Before adding any treble or bass to the sound of the album, it would be advisable to check it out this way first. F.Z."
It does sound good even without JBL 4311 speakers.
I remember reading this when I first bought this album way back in the late 70s/early 80s

David Bowie-Ziggy Stardust (To Be Played At Maximum Volume)

Yes, I usually try to share my cooking experience with the whole street by turning the range hood on full blast.

those look fantastic. We just started baking sourdough. We bake 1 at a time and use our Staub pot as a vessel they come out a little darker (though our bread is unbleached organic bread flour so it looks a little more whole wheat colour anyway) next loaf being baked tomorrow i will get a shot

Well it is the English version of English.

It does sound good even without JBL 4311 speakers.

I remember the sleeve notes for Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells included the warning (to the best of my memory):–

That person was probably a "customer service" person. (and that doesn't mean what we think it means either!)

Yes, some from the Old Dart would say "I speak English proper".

My sister's first husband was a DJ at an FM rock n roll radio station I Salem, Oregon way back when. Once while visiting them I went to the station while he was on the air. While the music was playing he showed me around. They had a huge library of vinyl albums, in alphabetical order by artist.

It didn't take me long to find Frank Zappa.

One album, looking as if it had rarely been played was Frank Zappa Conducts The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

My brother in law asked if I wanted it.

I took it.

Still have it today.

I've played it a few times. Since I don't really know orchestral arrangements, I have never felt I could give it a proper critique, but it sounds well done.

My father worked at a radio station for a while way back. They had a large record collection which he said were mostly or all supplied by record companies seeking air play.
