Originally posted by CharLac My sister's first husband was a DJ at an FM rock n roll radio station I Salem, Oregon way back when. Once while visiting them I went to the station while he was on the air. While the music was playing he showed me around. They had a huge library of vinyl albums, in alphabetical order by artist.
It didn't take me long to find Frank Zappa.
One album, looking as if it had rarely been played was Frank Zappa Conducts The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
My brother in law asked if I wanted it.
I took it.
Still have it today.
I've played it a few times. Since I don't really know orchestral arrangements, I have never felt I could give it a proper critique, but it sounds well done.
