For sure, though if you have the tools, it's not a long job or any expense (if they're mounted on separate rims that is...). And it's not any more costly having a second set of tyres as you need to replace them every so often anyways, so you end up extending the life by using each pair half as much.

If you're running studded tyres in the winter however means you really should change them (but that's a whole other debate - modern studless tyres are pretty impressive compared to those of not long ago).

Don't I get some kind of credit for the bacon?

If there's one bad way of having bacon, you've just described...

Absolutely, but I haven't run studs since I left Alaska.
On a side note; Mrs P drives a Mazda Miata year round. What makes that possible is Bridgestone Blizzak tires (sorry. "tyres" ) and 150 pounds of lead shot in the trunk. (and traction control)

Every manual transmission I have ever worked on had a drain plug and a fill plug. The fill plug is on the side, gear lube (not oil, it is graphite based, like grease) is poured in until it just begins to spill out, then the plug inserted and tightened.
Most of them have a fill plug but some DCT transmissions don't have a drain plug. Those can only be drained by removal of the sump. I can't say which your grandson owns but, chances are, if you did not see a drain plug, his was of the type that requires sump removal. That is a somewhat messy job, of course!

Which is a good reminder that salad is bad for you. Stick to steak and bacon and all's well. I've never found a snake in my bacon!

Talking of tyres...
I just replaced a couple.
Reviews are hopeless: some reviewers will give five stars and quote quietness, smoothness, good in the wet ant the dry, last for 100,000 kilometres. The next reviewer will say the exact opposite. Then there are the in betweens.
Took some advice from the dealer: all the taxis (cabs) in town areToyotas the same as mine and without my asking he offered long mileage, quietness and comfort for the tyres that the taxis run. We shall see!

A question I've had for a number of years, and you're the BaconMeister IMHO, ...does bacon taste markedly different from one breed of hog ...say a Berkshire
opposed to another hog breed...like the Chester White ...or are any differences in taste, nullified by the food processing bacon goes through ?

Is the bacon taste that people from different countries markedly different ? I would think hogs are bred to satisfy different regional or national tastes.

Anyways, a question for some of those bacon aficionados to chew on, during their morning coffee or evening beer.
Cooking makes a difference - fried vs grilled - but the big difference to me is smoked vs unsmoked. Mmmmm, smoked bacon!!! I do believe it’s breakfast time.....!

Tonight we had pasta with a favourite stir-fry: red peppers, broccoli, chopped onion, fresh cream and cracked black pepper and salt to taste. Which sounds commendably vegetablist, if lacking in interesting flavour, but don't worry – it also features significant quantities of BACON.
That's one of our favourite pasta dishes, too.

Snake is good food, isn't it?

Besides, venomous doesn't necessarily mean poisonous. We don't make that distinction in Norwegian, for some reason
