Isn't it plural for tonner - used in printers
and what about cartooners

Good plan - wouldn't want to piss off any of the folks handing out pushups, would I now?

I do, but it's a modern fancy synthetic material, not hide like it used to be:

No, you wouldn't. Always good to remember who has the 'power'.

Cell phone use while operating any motor vehicle is not only against the law, it is stupid.

More and more, cell phone use while walking is becoming a problem. At the Big Shed cell phone use is restricted, never allowed while working on or inside the airplane, outside only in designated safe zones, such as break areas. It is never allowed while walking.

Just this week management began an emphasis reminder of these rules. Every day, often several times each day, I am confronted by idiots who either didn't get the message, or don't care. Walking down some stairs one day, a woman was walking up, nose deep in her phone. As she ascended the stairs, she drifted to my side. I stopped. She didn't see me until she raised her foot to the step I was standing on.

I wanted so badly to snatch that thing from her and smash it.

A lot of the walkways in the factory and in the various jigs and tools are narrow, with low overhead clearance. Like on the stairs, I encounter far too many Phone Zombies nose buried, oblivious to anything beyond their spindly arms. Again, I am overcome with the urge to slap that thing from their grasp, and stomp it to bits on the floor.

Also, using the phone camera is expressly prohibited. The only photography allowed is with a camera permit. Getting caught taking unauthorized photos will get one walked out immediately. No warning, no lecture about company policy.

Just give me the device, and your badge, and they escort the person out the gate.

Yet many people take that chance every day.

14 weeks.

And sewn shut.

Nice, secure storage, difficult to get into.

Perfect!

Well, the modern ones have a zip, which in turn is then hidden by a pipe bag cover.

You could easily put a hip flask full of whisky in the pipe bag and smuggle it into places where you shouldn't have any... not that I would ever do that...

What law is that? Not every state has the same laws.
I agree with the stupid part though.
Talking on one in SD is legal; texting is not.
Unbelievably, inconceivably, the first time a bill was introduced in the legislature to make texting while driving illegal it was defeated. Some of the legislators thought the fine for a first offense, I think it was $100.00, was excessive. After all, what's the worst that could happen. It's not like somebody might be killed, right?
A few months after that it was campaign time. One of the incumbents going door-to-door had the misfortune of knocking on my door while I was home. We chatted briefly and I worked that bill into the conversation and I asked him how he'd voted. He said "I voted against it but" I stopped him and told him there was no point in continuing. He asked why. Deviating from my usual cordial, "tolerant of all ideas" demeanor I looked him in the eye and said "nobody who thinks that that shouldn't be illegal has any business holding elected office" and I closed the door on him.

How is texting ( where you are looking at the phone ) not as lethal as talking on the phone ( where you should still be aware of your surroundings ).
Defies belief ... really .. its just plain wrong and idiotic.

It is illegal in Australia to hold a phone whilst driving .... still some people are just plain dumb and self centred
