Mrs. Racer made quesadillas for breakfast.

Then we spent the day cleaning the cedar porch decking. Gotta strip it and redo the stain. I think this will be the fourth time since we built the house.

About 2/3 done, just ran out of gas.

Time to head into town.

We don't have anything like that in Oz.
Would love to see it (and hear it go past).

Actually, for some reason we start winter on 1st June.
Don't ask me why we are different to the rest of the world; perhaps standing on our heads causes us to see things differently.

Oops, I only checked on NZ for the 1st day of winter, and it said June 21.
Just another reason to doubt that Australia is real.

I see you're getting double posts too.

At least we are on the map! It's NZ that is not real.

In the land of the 1788 migrants to Australia there are two dates for starting the seasons: first of the month and the solstice/equinox dates, given different names. One is “meteorological X” and the other name eludes me just now.

BTW: one of the next couple of days there would normally be some group visiting Stonehenge to view sunrise.

He must have been on the turps.

The eyes will come good after a day of miserable illness.

A few drops of green Tabasco always wakes up a sleepy breakfast.
