The birdbath heater Mrs Bob gave me for Christmas is being tested with a morning temp of 20 F, or -6.66667 C.
It's working great, no ice.
The St. Louis Blues beat the Minnesota Wild 6-4 last night at the Winter Classic, coldest National Hockey League game ever played, The temp was -6 F at puck drop.

It's been below -25°C here each morning since Christmas. Finally warmed up for this morning, a balmy -20°C.

That's very close to what we had yesterday. -22°C overnight with a high of -15°C. Much warmer this morning when I got up; -19°C.
According to the weatherguessers we're supposed to get to 31°F today. I'll believe it when I see it. Their "predictions" (read: WAGs) aren't usually off by more than 20-30 degrees

We started with a snow/ice pellet mix last night that changed to full snow later and continued overnight. We woke to about 1.5" (3.5 to 4 cm) of snow, un-ploughed roads (unusual for us as we live on a 4-lane city road) and temps of -5°C (23°F) with a 'feels like' of -13°C (9°F).

I don't go by Environment Canada (Fed govt. weather forecaster) weather forecasts, except for the.... right now, this time, this day temps/weather...and even then, they seem to be wrong a lot of the time.

I have found more success to check out what the weather is like in a city 500 miles west of us...Saskatoon.

Good chance what their weather is...is what our weather will be in a day and a half.

Or if I find my checking out the weather/ temp in Toon town (Saskatoon's 'pet' name) not accurate..... then it's the last resort....I revert to my old tried and true method...I stick my head outside.

This method is always spot on.

And there I was thinking you were plain rude

Check if your adblocker is killing it, I think that's been a problem in the past. That being said, I'm using uBlock Origin and never had anything broken on this site.

Funny that - I've found Environment Canada to be one of the more accurate for the area here. I imagine that's in part that they use meteorologists rather than computer algorithms to determine the forecast.
