Quite a while with no-one saying anything.
We’re waiting for #1 to let us know how things went for him.

All went great! About 6.5 hours at the hospital, but only about 1 hour from the time they wheeled me out until they wheeled me back in.
I now have a biventricular pacemaker, it's to help pump blood better because of heart failure. An extra lead was needed and I have to take care not to pull it loose.
Guess that's why I can't drive until they say so. I go back next Friday.

Forgot.
I now have a plug in box contraption that will monitor my PM and send the info to an app on my cell phone and to the doctor's office. No more landline checks.
Hope setting it up isn't too brutal.

Good to hear #1.

May your right and left ventricles remain synchronous.

The trick to setting up complex computery thingies is to ask the neighbor's 10 year old to do it.

In this case the suggestion made my blood run cold. Imagine young Elmer doing that while also maintaining concentration on some first person shoot-em-up and his Insta feed. Shudders!

Ask his sister to do it, girls are the definitive multitaskers….

Good news overall.

The thing must be hard to set up or they would have had a clerk at the doctor’s office help you set it up, like me bank did for something needed recently.

Good to hear that, #1! Enjoy being chauffeured, just make sure you get taken to the right sort of places!

Sad news. RIP Rodney Marsh and Shane Warne. I was only reading Warne's tribute to Marsh earlier today.

Yes, people who provided us with so much entertainment and enjoyment in playing for the ashes. And two who passed the same day out of only about 500 Australians who have played test cricket since the ashes were burned in the latter part of the 19th century.

Got my pacemaker monitor set up.
Pretty easy since it came with a cellular adapter for sending the info to the clinic. Other choices were via landline, or ethernet.
The system is called Latitude.

I'm good, thanks. The soreness is gradually going away. Antsy to get behind the wheel again.
