Anyone seen or heard anything about the latest "How to tell if you'll die in the next x years..." fluff? Apparently if you can stand on one leg for 10 seconds without crashing to the floor then you might not be at increased risk of shuffling off the mortal coil in the next decade.

I hope I got that right ...

We tried this with Great–Grandma and she just snorted and said something about not being a performing monkey: the family are really worried about her now; she was 103 last birthday.

I haven't posted a link since it's really hard to type while balancing on one crutch.

I'm sure I heard that one years ago, don't you have to close your eyes as well?

No, it was PayPal.

I listen to Radio Paradise, a listener supported internet radio station. The other day I was feeling like it was time to send a few bucks their way so they can keep playing the awesome music I like to listen to, so I chose the PayPal option to lend some support.

This screen always pops up when using PayPal, usually showing the device I am using (I have several I use, a PC, a tablet, my iPhone).

This particular time it was my iPod I was using.

Oh come on, man!

It’s an iPod 6.

It is always getting mistaken for a stoopit phon.

In fact, my iPhone is a 6s. The last generation to have an earphone jack.

So, yeah, almost stone tablets.

I still have an iPod Classic, 80gig. More than 7,000 songs and counting. I keep an old laptop going with Winblows XP Pro, and an older version of iTunes to manage it, and add music as my library grows. The whole mess resides with the stereo.

This weekend is the annual assault on Pikes Peak.

A video of a previous winner, Rod Millen, 1994.

This is on my bucket list. But I doubt I’ll have the resources to build a competetitive car.

IMHO Pikes Peak was spoiled when they paved the final section. Having the dirt surface at the finish sorted the real drivers from the wannabes!

Read this today and just had to share:-

One reason for this reaction is that the bass trombone is the voice of a punchline: No matter how delicately dispatched, its sound is never far removed from that of a baby pachyderm that somehow got into the liquor cabinet.

I like how they say he is fine, just a little shook up.
