That was a major marketing point in Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey. It was so important to have clear visibility when the vehicle left the road and crashed through the shrubbery backwards.

No, it is nationwide. Get caught not wearing a seatbelt, get a ticket. The cops use it as a reason to pull drivers over, and then take a closer look for other violations.

'63 Mercury had a window like the Anglia, and it went up and down. One of my high school classmates had an Anglia, blue, like the one in Harry Potter film. I was surprised it was smaller than my '63 Ford Falcon

In Australia the fine for the seatbelt is enough to pay the police person’s wages for the day, overheads require finding another fine to mete out. A benefit of a process that avoids court cases, and most people pay up and wear the demerit points because it saves them a court appearance at a time the court tells them to come.
