Why isn't there an option for "Because the Ricoh logo is on the back?"

An interesting observation. I'm not one to sit around and wait for a camera vendor to deliver a feature I want. So when I wanted faster focus I went out and got it from a different manufacture. And anytime I would mention how sweet that was, all I got was in replies was it doesn't matter, I get by fine and how more important other attributes of the camera are. But apparently the fast focus attribute is an important one after all.
Yes, interesting observation.

It just works now and didn't work properly before. That proves enough for me.

I had issues with overexposing and strange behaving K-5, then K-5IIs was slightly overexposing (I could deal with that with highlight correction on, and it was easy recoverable in Lightroom), then after one of the firmware updates (I don't remember which one exactly) everything was fine on both cameras. They are pretty accurate and reliable now.
Strange that you mentioned that, I do find too that my K-5 was pretty good (to excellent) in terms of focus accuracy with the last two firmware updates (don't remember which one though). My DA* 50-135mm was good, but now, it is pretty sharp and very good.

Well, seems like the new AF system is the biggest selling point for the K-3 amongst voters... I suppose that was always going to be a given

The specs are the pudding. The proof is in the eating (use). Funny how these old sayings get twisted and then become common lore.

Anyhow, the OP did acknowledge that we can only go by specs at the moment, and he was looking for things that attracted people in the specs. On my part, the main attractions are the wifi tethering and the on-off AA filtering, with the improved (we hope) AF and metering an order below. I couldn't care less about more MP unless the final image resolution is better, and then only so I can crop with more confidence, if I need to.

Well indeed cropping with confidence is something I'm looking forward to. My DA*300 started as a 450mm equivalent on the K10D and now for the same image detail its a 1000mm equivalent

Same here - plus airshows and motor sports and other action.

I've shot 58,000+ with my K-5IIs this year doing all of the above, and analysis shows that better AF and FPS would increase my number and proportion of keepers.

And more pixels (useful but not my highest priority) would help improve print quality at A3+ from cropped images, which are frequent in that sort of photography.

AF for me. Not for tracking or sports shooting but I'm hoping for increased accuracy in the centre with my set of primes which primarily live at wider than f/2.8
Next up will the rgb colour metering, then the buffer / internal processing which actually I think will pull more users in from the competition than any of the other highlight features.
