Hello everyone. I'm a new K-3 owner, having just gotten a used K-3 from Japan a week ago (upgrading from a K10D). I'm getting comfortable with the camera, and love everything about it! Here is one of the first photos I took with it, of a Pentax ME Super that I've never used but like to look at, taken with the manual Asahi 50mm lens that was on my ME Super.

The more I use the Sigma 17-70 F/2.8-4 DC Macro HSM the more I love it!

I have that lens on my K10D and I love it too. Well, I love both of them!

The first one is taken with the so-called "plastic fantastic" 35mm 2.4. The second one is with the 50mm 1.8, which I bought at the same time (B&H was having a sale). So far I much prefer the 50mm 1.8 - it seems to focus more accurately in all conditions, provide better colors, and is sharper. I could be wrong about all of that, but that's the feeling I have after only several days of ownership and one real outing. Definitely it is better in low light, as expected.

I've never seen Robins here, in mid winter! Today was Minus 22 degrees when I looked out and saw two of them drinking from the heated birdbath!! Two feet of snow on the ground; don't know what they are eating, as they are usually worm, insect eaters.

Thank you CSA. I have to walk carefully in the yard at times as the white tail fawns will not move even if I am 1 foot away! The axis fawns tend to lift their head and watch me...

I got my K3 two months ago and so far it's been a great experience, I'm enjoying the camera more than expected. The sensation of taking photos with this camera is amazing. I'm loving it.
