It looks over sharpened to me. Perhaps setting the K3 to one of the more natural looking jpg options would be better.

Thanks! The Bluebirds just started arriving very recently. Hope you had good weather, as it's been rainy & cool now.

I use raw, so it's possible I've added too much sharpening, I'll go back to the original and have a look.

Thanks for the advice.

I went back to the original RAW file, and there was no frringing, so I must learn to watch my sharpening!

Thanks very much for pointing that out.

How does that light rail work? I see the arm on top of the train to the electric, but I don't see if there are any wires over head that follow the track.

What you are seeing is the charge point. There is one at each stop and each terminus and the cars get a quick charge each time they stop. Smart thinking!

That is really smart, thanks for the information. I'd like it if we had them here.

We've had a late spring, and there seem to be very few insects around. Been taking a few ant shots (reposted from Show Me Your Insects)...

I did, however, luck out at the end of an otherwise not very fruitful outing. Not only did I spot this Pelegrina jumping spider, but I nailed focus just at the moment it was holding a springtail upside down after capturing it, but before it munched it up. (Reposted from the Spiders thread.)
