Cross-posted to the 16-85mm thread. This is one of my favourite shots of the year so far.

Sunset in the wetlands III

On a side-note, I recently checked the shutter count of my K-3 and it was just shy of 50,000, so after six-and-a-half years it's a quarter of the way through it's life expectancy. Will it last another 19 years..?

K-3 and DA*200

I'm feeling lazy today, so just walking around hhe yard with the DA*200

I'm walking around shooting every image at ƒ2.8 to ƒ16. ƒ8 wins the day...2 ƒ8s, one ƒ2.8, one ƒ16, one ƒ11. ƒ4 and ƒ5.6 got skunked. It was not a good day to be shooting ƒ4 or ƒ5.6... I guess ƒ8 and be there, if you only wanted 2 out 5 shots to be optimal.

ƒ8

ƒ8

ƒ16

ƒ2.8

ƒ11

This is such a great walk around lens in the garden.

I did have to change to the 50 macro for couple of images. Sometime you need a little more DoF.

I was fortunate enough to be hired by Mitsubishi for a construction photoshoot. Great folks to work with.

This one was hard because I've never done anything like it and I had no instructions. They said just take photos of the Contruction stie. The hard part was making look good without just being a snapshot.

K-3, D FA 150-450 + HD 1.4x TC, 1/1600 @ ƒ8, ISO 100. Handheld although I did brace myself against the side of my house. In LrC I adjusted the +Shadows, +Clarity, +Dehaze, +Sharpening. It turned out pretty well but I think the smoke and haze contributed a lot allowing the sun to be shot without glare and adding the color.

Mine is showing just 25,770. It will last me the rest of my life, I think.
