Hoping to take some photos at an air show soon down here in Portland. Your shots look great! Care to give me some suggested settings? I would assume a high shutter speed?

TIA!!

Hi there, yeah, I hope you can! I set my shutter speed to 1/2000 of a second and F stop to F8 to give me some room for the fast-moving planes. Continuous AF of course. Best of luck and have fun!

We have a bunch of Hummingbird Moths drop by every night at 9pm, the cutest ugly things you've ever seen!

Don't have them up here. They certainly are neat looking.

We've just moved from Southern Ontario and never heard of them there, but they just turned up here in Manitoba, buzzing around like little bees!

Thank you.
After reading your Rawtherapee thread I disable D-range in all my cameras. It is much easier to get the colors right.

For your autofocus setting-what did you use for the number of AF spots? Like the 27 or just 1 spot?

If you are taking propellor driven planes you need to keep the shutter speed below 1/250 as it makes the plane more 'alive'. I was told a static propellor could mean the plane was photoshoped in.
