My mother died last year, and I scattered her ashes at King Edward's Bay.

We used to go there regularly when I was a kid, and then play on the green outside the priory. Tynemouth was always special to her.

So, my first shoot of 2014 was always going to be there, whatever the weather. Luckily the rain kept away.

Those are some great looking images. We've been investigating this lens, the DA*200 2.8. It's definitely not as popular as the DA*300, but we have the DA*60-250and A-400, but we don't have ƒ2.8 in a long lens. Those images are very good.

We've written this lens off a couple of times, but it keeps coming back into view.
