That's not something we see up here in the Rockies, unfortunately.
Ha, you have a lot of other interesting things to view instead!

This is a pic of my recently deceased super-dog, Joe, basking in the sunshine on our back porch. K-3, SMC-DA 35mm Macro Ltd, f/2.8, 1/8000, ISO 320. Joe was a beautiful, loving, caring and supportive dog who always did what he was asked. He was suffering from cancer, and about a month and a half ago, we had to put him down to stop his pain and ours. We are still missing him a lot. This is one of my favorite pictures of him, and the lens, as usual, did a great job.

John

It is heart breaking to lose a family member. When we had to put Lady down at 12+ it hurt and still does.

Taken at the local aeroplane museum, a re-enactor dressed up as a mechanic. I'm not sure about the colour popping.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my beautiful yellow lab Juneau almost a year ago, and there's not a day that I don't miss her.

That's a wonderful photo, especially to remind you of the better days.

Nice, there sure are a lot of crtitters that like those black oil sunflower seeds. Around us, everything fro chickadees to blue jays and grackles, red winged black birds all the way up to wild turkeys. We never know what's going to be in our yard when we look out.

Norm, what surprised me, is the Gold Finches won't touch the thistle seed, but love the black oil sunflower seeds!

The Mourning Doves also like the black oil sunflower seeds.

I finally broke down and took a photography class at our city college recently. Most of the info was review, but it was a great opportunity to have access to professionals, regular creative criticism, and assignments that forced me to go and shoot. Here are a couple that I was really happy with that I took with my K3ii.

Couple more from January in Tokyo, both with the DA 18-135. The first is from the cemetery where the last Shogun of Japan is buried, the second is a street in an old shopping district not far from the cemetery.
