Oh, what a week we had ...

Dark, threatening clouds and high winds ...

Heavy rain ...

And then a rainbow ...

Some quick snaps in the garden today. The lens is the original DA70mm limited. I added an old close up filter from my film days.

Shot as JPEG at 6MP, transferred to ipad via Toshiba Air WiFi card, and uploaded.

When (if) the border opens again, I will have to spend some time in Yellowstone. I have never been.

It's definitely one of those "Bucket List" places, there are so many diverse features to it.

On a side note, I had heard many great things about Banff (and the surrounding parks), so we were there last year; simply magnificent!

A combination of factors - both the pandemic and other stuff - has meant that I've pretty much not gone out to shoot for the whole summer... But last week I had a few moments and managed to find this ladybug who was (I believe) feeding on aphids. It even has wax-like "goo" on its face which is probably the aphid's defensive fluid! Didn't seem too effective against the ladybug... (D-FA 100mm WR, Raynox DCR-250, Godox AD-180, two-shot focus stack, reposted from Show Me Your Insects.)
