The lens had been stored unused for a couple of years and my apprehension grew as I was reading about other's experiences. Well, the SDM autofocus worked splendidly at the first touch of the shutter release button. All pictures : ISO 200, 1/13 sec @ f/8.

All images made handheld around f/8 on the K3. Flare and veiling are not too bad for an 18 element giant zoom.

I almost never touch colors, hues or tints. I lighten and sharpen a little. I set the camera's Color Palette to "VIBRANT".

I haven't used my K3 in a while because I couldn't seem to clean the focusing screen well enough. I just replaced it and now I'm a happy boy again! I bought a new iPad recently and I edited these on there.

It would seem that with the ongoing heat wave in the northwest, melting snows on Rainier could result in some dangerous/deadly lahars racing down the slopes, especially towards Tacoma.
