That is a huge improvement over the K-5. My K-5 AF-C can't track a sleeping cat.

Okay, I've rented one of these (I'm the first person to rent one from LensRentals), and I'm going to use it as my second camera at VCU's season opener on Friday night (backing up my K-5 IIs) to see what sorts of results I get. I'm hoping it can perform in the sort of environment where you'd typically get photos like this one (from K-5 IIs):
This is an awesome shot. How close were you from the subjects?

Not really very far. Jordan Burgess (#20) is probably about 10-15 feet away from where I was sitting on the baseline. Meanwhile I got this with the 70-200, and I'll be interested in seeing how the K-3 handles this situation (both players are near the opposite three-point line, maybe 70 feet). This was with the original K-5.

Great shots, WillWeaverRVA! However, personally, I would tweak the WB, the images would benefit a lot.

You're obviously a person with a very good eye for this style of shooting.

I imagine the K-3 will do wonders for you and look forward to seeing your images.

Please shoot DNG and jpeg simultaneously. From what we're seeing the Raw files have a lot cleaner information than what the out-of-camera jpegs reveal.

Go stick it to 'em.
