Me too. I have both bodies and my original K-5 was badly overexposing pretty often. Not anymore. K-5IIs was slightly overexposing (acceptable and controllable just by switching Highlight Correction ON), but it's dead on now. Hundreds of flash exposures with accuracy and repeatability I could never dream of with my old K10D.

If the problem was fixed with the K5 II, wouldn't it have been also fixed with the K30 and K50?

Great to hear bounce flash problems solved. My K7 is definitely getting K3'd soon.

Does anyone have trouble triggering sigma ef 530 dg super in non-PTTL mode in K-3's hotshoe?
I cannot triigger my flash gun unless it's in P-TTL mode.

I have opposite issue - my shots are underexposured about 1 EV.
Tried with K-5/K-5II/K-3, flash units Metz 58 AF-2 and Pentax AF 540 FGZ II.

Coming from the K20D, the K-3 is a vast improvement.

I haven't used bounce flash on the K-5II enough to confirm but it "seems" better than the K-5. It DEFINITELY existed on my two K-5 classic bodies.

I have a Metz 58-AF2 and as far as I can tell it works perfectly with the K-3. I haven't used it that much but still enough to tell that it works much more reliably than on the K-r and K-30. I haven;t had a single wrong exposure except for the inevitable cases where the flash just isn;t powerful enough for the situation (which of course has nothing to do with P-TTL and would happen even in manual mode)

Oddly my problems with K-r and K-30 have always been inconsistent underexposure when using bounce whereas everyone else in the known universe complains of overexposure in such situations. Even more strangely there is a very simple (but inconvenient) solution to the problem I have - instead of tilting up the flash head I mount a mirror at 45 degrees to deflect the light upwards and miraculously it works properly with very few cases of underexposure.
