IMO, you are. You should have been willing to match B&H. Their's was not a fire sale price, it was the standard price that these grips will settle at. Not really going above and beyond.

What else can I say?........as I said, it's company policy that we only price match to retailers who have an item in stock and available to ship. I personally don't think it makes us all to be jerks!

I don't think it's because they're jerks either. It's just corporate policy and fairly standard if you ask e.g., Staples to price match a local retailer.

Be patient or pay what it costs. I'm being patient and hoping for some awesome x-mas deal on the K-3 but that probably won't happen, and I won't be calling people jerks for not doing it ;-)
I'm sure Pentax will sell a lot more K-3's when the bodies drop just under the $1K mark like what happened w/ the K-5...but they're jerks for the MAP policy :-)))

The "jerks" comment was meant as an aside. I'm not calling anyone at Adorama a jerk personally, but I do resent these types of policies from any retailer. I can understand not price-matching a fly-by-night online seller, but not matching a major competitor because they happen to sell out of a product is petty and, IMO, turns customers off. You had a great opportunity to sell all the grips you had at a still good price and foster some good will with your customer base. Instead you chose to sit on the grips and turn folks off. Just because a particular policy is common doesn't mean it's good for your business.

Price Increase

B&H k3 grip just went from 199.00 to 229.95. Interesting it would increase. Good thing i bought mine earlier.

However, it would have been reasonable for DogLover to apologise, AFAIC.
He referred to Adorama as "jerks" (aside or not) and claimed that the cheaper price would be the one that the grip will be selling at in the future.

Neither statement had merit, hence my suggestion for an apology.
