Rear screen protector

Has anyone found an online retailer (or eBayer) that has perfect fit 3.2" screen protectors for the K-3? I have not been able to find any as of yet...

I don't know about perfect fit, but why not just look for 3.2" screen protectors? There's a hard "armor protector" for $15 to $20, looks pretty cool. If you worry about the fit, look up the exact mm dimensions for the nikon/canon mkIII LCDs and then measure the screen of your k-3.

Of course I have already tried 3.2" generic protectors but they are rubbish in that they reduce contrast, a lot. GGS make a quality protector but it is designed to fit over a 3.2" screen and does not properly fit in the screen recess of the K-3.

I would also be interested in whether anyone has found a quality screen protector to fit the K-3. I tried the Megagear for the D7100, which is supposed to have a 3.2" screen, but it does not fit the Pentax. OTOH, do any of you more experienced Pentaxians think a screen protector is really needed? Thanks.

I had a stack of Palm brand screen protectors for long-gone Treo smartphones. I just cut them down to fit my DSLRs. They don't affect the screen in any way that matters to me--I use the screen for framing and LiveView focusing, not anything color related. The purpose is to preserve some resale value. I also just don't like looking at scratched screens.

I will be interested in a GGS screen protector for the K-3 as well. I have used the GGS for my K100D, K-01, K-7 and K-30. Like it a lot. I dont think it is available as yet. maybe in a few months time.

In my personal opinion, they are absolutely needed. My ACMAXX on the Kr is showing some good signs of use. I cringe when I think of what might happen to my screen if I did not have it on there (probably nothing since the screens are glass). I like the insurance factor of having a protector.

Expert Shield recommended their Canon 1D-X 'shield' as the closest fit:

I fitted it this morning and the fit seems perfect for the back. The top fits too.
Service from Expert Shield was brilliant and so far, the quality seems great.
