Samyang/rokinon lens with k-3

Has anyone done any test shots using manual controls? I am particuarly interested and in Rokinon but all manual input is good. There is a lot of info about auto but i only shoot manual.
How does the multi white balance perform? With my k-x i shot manual wb mostly to lessen my post production time.
Is the manual focus alert more consistent?
I did notice the shooting mode locks on the k-3. It did not in my k-x and it did drive me nuts a couple of times. LOL.
Any info will be appreciated. I received my k-3 on Nov 7 but have been on the fence about upgrading. Now i have decided to charge the battery and get to shooting in the morning if not later tonight with some street/candid shots.
monday or tuesday i will do some in studio shooting with monolights.

Thanks,
Vincent

Samyang and Rokinon lenses both have aperture contacts, so the K-3's dual e-dials will make shooting easier for you in manual mode. Everything else should be improved too. I don't think the type of lens really has much of an effect on the metering or white balance performance as long as the camera knows the aperture.

The focus alert will do better in low light and since the AF points in the center matrix are smaller, you'll be able to focus more precisely.

can you select the focus point with the Rokinon?
One problem I found with my K-30 is that when using my A 50 1.7, I have to focus using the center focus point only. I cannot move it. However, I just found out That when using the DA 50 1.8 I can move it.
How is the rokinon in this respect?
Do you have to select the focal length every time?

The Rokinon 35mm F1.4, which is the lens I've tried the most recently, didn't require you to select the FL. It's got all the electronics that modern AF lenses do, just not the AF (AFAIK). I don't have the lens on me at the moment to confirm this, so I would wait until another member chimes in to make sure.

I just put my Rokinon 85mm F/1.4 on the K-3 and it will only allow center focusing point. Pressing the button to toggle the 4-way controls to move the focus point does nothing. So it looks like you are stuck using center point only.
