First of all, I want to salute all of you Pentaxians )
Today I received my new Pentax K-3, so I'm under the pressure to go out and shoot, but before that I want to know what my new DSLR love can do. First picture must be something special
So far, Pentax K-3 is stunning camera, compared to my K-7, the body, grip, weight and everything else is just perfect.
I have two short question. In manual (Croatian or English) I can find how to set expanded ISO? Where is that setting?
Also, where can I buy original Pentax hood for SMC DAL 18-55 WR lense that I also purchased? Old hood from DA 18-55 not fit on this new one.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards from Croatia.

I don't believe the K3 has expanded ISO; it should already be in a range from 100-51200, no 80
There is no original hood for any DAL lens. If the old 18-55 hood will not fit on the new WR, you may have to use a screw-on hood...
Have fun shooting! Maybe some day I'll have a K3 to play with.

Yes, I realized that there is no expanded ISO, but that's not necessary because there is range that you mentioned.
What do you mean by "screw-on hood"? Do you have any suggestions for my new lens that will surely fit?
Thanks for the comment, frankly, I was pretty sceptical about purchasing K-3, but thanks to the Pentax store in Croatia, there was brilliant price. Also, I sold my K-7 and from today K-3 is my best friend beside my dog

You can find a hood here

DAL 18-55 WR Lens Hood | eBay

But if you'll buy it from China, expect a 45 days delivery time.

Thanks Jimmy! You think that's the new one, and will fit on my lens?

Yes, the kit lens for K-5, K-5II. I know it's different that the non-WR 18-55mm, because I have both lenses, with and without WR, both with third party lens hood bought from Ebay.

Sorry Jimmy, but that is not the kit lens for the K5, K5II. Those cameras used the DA 18-55 WR lens which has the green ring in the front and a metal lens mount. Saying that I THINK that is the proper lens hood for the DA L 18-55 WR lens.

The correct hood for the DA L non-WR & WR is the PH-RBA. The DA WR uses the PH-RBC.

Yes, David, my lens is with red ring. And that's DA L lens.

On my old lens, which I sold along with K-7 (DA non-member) was PH-RBC. That hood don't fit on my new lens, and is available in local Pentax store. But, PH-RBA isn't available right now.

Hm, just now I go online and check what lens is available on local Pentax store. Strange, but there is PH-RBA available, and that's lens that doesn't fit on DA L WR lens, according to Pentax staff. So, I'm confused now. Which hood is for which lens....
Also, that PH-RBA is cheaper, that's make no sense to me. Maybe Jimmy is right, maybe the right hood for my new lens is PH-RBC?
