K3/Rokinon 24mm Tilt Shift: Old House

I really like old abandoned buildings and ran into this one while driving this week. Used the Rokinon 24mm tilt shift at f8.

That is really nice - "There goes the neighborhood" :-) I'm intrigued by that lens but have (mostly) talked myself out of getting it.

Yep, that tilt shift has done a nice job of making all the weather boards on the house look straight.

Obviously the shift doesn't work on this house.

If you squint really hard, the boards straighten out, but then your eyeballs are deformed for a few hours....

What does the Rokinon look like mounted on the K-3...always wondered if it would hit the hump from the mirrorbox...

Hi Kenyee:

The Rokinon works fine on the K3 but some of the levers are tight with the mirrorbox hump.

The big nose of the K-3 costs you about one millimeter shift to the top (with the camera held horizontally). Otherwise the lens works nicely as far as I can tell after a few shots. Maybe, the somewhat smallish shift knob could/should be larger (but then it would get in the way of the mirrorbox nose after 90 degree rotation).
