Folder Creation

Loving my new pentax K3, but there is something that is driving me crazy.

Why is it that everytime I turn off the camera, when I turn it on again, all the pictures I take are stored in a new folder.

I always end up with lots of folders on my sdcard.. This is not the same procedure my old K-30 used to do!!!

I've checked the menu and all seams ok.

Updated to 1.02 and still the same.

Any thoughts?

is it based on the day because mine store to the day they are shot

Hi. No it does not.

FOlders created are PENTX001 PENTX002 and so on..

Menu>Wrench>2>Folder Name: It should say 'DATE' not 'PENTX'

I love the folders by date. That way, I don't have to load all the other pictures on the card if I don't want to. Easy to just find the day's pictures!
