Dual card question

If for example you have a 32gb card in slot one, and a 16gb card in slot 2 when you replace the card in slot 2 does it continue writing new files or does it recopy everything that's still on card one before writing new files?

I guess you have the option to write the same to both cards choosen. Then it will write new files to that one. No copying is done.
