EXIF reader

PhotoME isn't able to extract the Manufacturer's Notes section from K-3 image EXIF data. So the shutter count can't be found with PhotoME as far as I can tell.

I know there's a tool here that lets you upload a JPG file and detect the shutter count, but I'd prefer a locally installable one that works with K-3 DNGs.

Anyone know of one? Preferably with a WIndows GUI rather than a command line.

Exiftool will do the job, of course.

ExifTool by Phil Harvey

No need for command line - just create a shotcut to exiftool on your desktop and drag and drop files onto it.

Or ExiftoolGUI still works, if you want a Windows GUI.

Another vote for both ExifTool and ExifToolGUI. Phil Harvey and his associates are among the unsung heros of digital photography.

Many thanks for that.

The ExifToolGUI gives the shutter count.

Dropping a DNG file on to a shortcut gives a CMD window that scrolls through a lot of info, and then disappears too quickly to see, and dropping a file on to the ExifTool exe stored on the desktop seems to include only basic information.

The GUI works for me, though, thanks again.
