Well this is the strange thing. The scroll wheel only switches between the three standard options - Sequential, Both, or RAW/JPG.
Whether it shows the arrow against 1 or 2 in Sequential mode, can be changed - but only (AFAICT) by switching off, taking a card out, switching back on, and then replacing the card.
Given that it can detect which card is installed, set Sequential to 1 or 2 accordingly, and remember the setting when two cards are in place, why on earth don't they make the scroll wheel cycle Seq1, Seq2, Both, RAW/JPG when there are two cards present?
I can achieve what I want (ie, write to slot 2 most of the time), but what a lot of messing about to switch. Plain daft.
Speaking as a programmer, then either they didn't think to do this, in which case they're seriously lacking in the "spot the obvious" department, or if they thought about it and didn't implement it, it can only be because there is some horror of spaghetti code in there that would be too risky to change. Though since the K-3 is the first 2-card camera, the code to manage that is all new, so it shouldn't be spaghetti yet...
