Interval shooting problem

Does anyone else have a problem with interval shooting.
I've tried several times to do a star trail shoot but it never takes more than 10 shots?

What settings did you use? They can be a bit counter-intuitive at times. For example, if you're doing 30-second shots and want 10 seconds between the shots, you need to select a 40-second interval rather than a 10-second interval. Otherwise, the camera will take fewer shots than expected.

It took a while but I figured that out.
I was using a 15s exposure with 2s interval.
I tried various settings with no success.

So what are your settings now? 15s exposure, 17s interval?

Check your settings again. You need to add the exposure time to your paus and that is your Interval time

Interval time= exposure time + time between shots.

I'll try it again when the clouds clear and check my settings.
Thanks.

Try 18s. There is no need to wait until the clouds clear. Do a sequence of two shots of some random subject, that should be enough.

Either the firmware updates have sorted it, OR I'd had too much red wine (more likely).
It works fine now.
Thanks guys.
