Lettering wearing off

The lettering on the menu and info buttons on my K3 is wearing off. Anyone else have this problem?

Nope - not yet anyway! What's your shutter count?

No problems here with the K-3. My K10D had wear on the "Play" button, but it was over seven years old. Is the back of your camera rubbing on something in the bag?

Happened on my K-7 buttons and is happening on my MX-1 (ISO button).
I guess it depends more on how often you use Manual or Semi manual settings opposed to Auto or Program mode.

They say the oil in some folks' skin/sweat wear off superficial paint on keyboards and things like that, that are constantly being touched. I and the other secretary at the law office that I work at got new keyboards in May of this year. The paint has already worn off of the E, L and M on my board, and the others are looking ragged. Her keyboard looks good as new!

Curiously, I have not noticed the same wear on my cameras...

Life's a mystery.

Some people would probably be happy if the "Ricoh" lettering on the back wore off.

I don't have a K-3 but the "ok" and "+/-" lettering are partially worn away on my K10D but then again it is 6-7 years old.

Nope. No on either my K-7 or K-3.

What kind of clothes do you wear? I would guess that the paint will rub more quickly on leather, denim, or other tough fabrics than on cotton or the like.

I can kill keyboard type in six weeks or less but I've never had the paint on my camera buttons go.
