What is the largest and fastest memory card I can use in my K3 and my K5.

The K-3 supports the UHS-I standard, and the fastest cards within that spec have a read/write speed of 90-95 Mb/s. Get ready to spend some big bucks if you want the largest available size (512Gb), though!

I believe the K-5 supports the same range. The K-5 is a lot slower than the K-3, though, so cards faster than about 45 Mbps is a bit of a waste.

I bought this 64 GB card for my Pentax K-3 and it is plenty fast. Check out my review to see R/W speeds. Video also shot on my K-3 with Sigma 50 f.1 4 DG EX HSM
