Originally posted by johnc Slower lenses (after around f4) have required sometimes very significant exposure compensation here with my K-3 and the EE-S screen. Mine has some small gridlines.
The effect is very significant at f5.6 (+2ev needed with the DA* 60-250 used in combination with the 1.4x HD TC resulting in f5.6, for example)
Your milage may of course vary. And I think it is not realistic to get a screen that looks great and works perfectly with no compensation for any lens. Canon for example recommend the EE-S for fast glass only from memory. I would also report that the K-3 stock screen/prism seems to me to be better for MF than the K-5 one. Though I don't have a K-5 here to make a direct comparison!

I think so... also! There is very significant exposure compensation with focusing screen different from K3 kit.. very very significant!
